ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,484,994, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to BIOMET 3I LLC (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.).
"Milling adaptor" was invented by Andreas Geier (Gargazon, Italy).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A milling adaptor for affixing an abutment blank for the manufacture of a dental abutment in a housing of a milling unit. The milling adapter includes a holding device extending from a first end to a second end. The holding device includes a flange positioned at the first end and a securing shaft extending from the flange to the second end. The securing shaft includes at least one securing surface for securing the holding device to the housing."
