ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,689,259, issued on July 21, was assigned to Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (Munich).

"Heat sink for a stator housing" was invented by Markus Lang (Munich) and Robert Schmidt (Munich).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A stator housing assembly for an electric drive machine includes a stator housing with a stator jacket receptacle that includes a cylinder inner jacket for receiving a stator outer jacket as well as a cylinder jacket-shaped outer surface, and includes at least one heat sink that is disposed on the outer surface and is connected thereto at wall edges."
