US Patent Issued to Ball Horticultural on Sept. 29 for "Calibrachoa plant named 'Balchadior'" (Texas Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30 -- United States Patent no. PP37,720, issued on Sept. 29, was assigned to Ball Horticultural Co. (West Chicago, Ill.).

"Calibrachoa plant named 'Balchadior'" was invented by Laura Masor (Buda, Texas).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new and distinct cultivar of Calibrachoa plant named 'Balchadior', characterized by its orange-yellow-colored flowers with yellow edges having a mottled red colored overlay that becomes less pronounced with age, medium green-colored foliage, and vigorous, mounded-trailing growth habit, is disclosed."
