ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,486,411, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to AXALTA COATING SYSTEMS IP Co. LLC (Wilmington, Del.).

"Method of applying a one-component waterborne coating composition to a substrate utilizing a high transfer efficiency applicator" was invented by Shih-Wa Wang (Glen Mills, Pa.), Michael S. Wolfe (Wilmington, Del.), John R. Moore (Lansdale, Pa.) and Petra Stoffel (Cologne, Germany).
