ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,606,518, issued on April 21, was assigned to ASTROGEN INC. (Daegu, South Korea).

"Crystalline form of L-serine and process of preparing same" was invented by Hyung Chul Ryu (Daegu, South Korea) and Su-Kyeong Hwang (Daegu, South Korea).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A novel crystalline form of L-serine and a method for preparing the same are disclosed. The novel crystalline form of L-serine has improved hygroscopicity and can be usefully used in the preparation of pharmaceutical agents."

The patent was filed on Nov. 14, 2024, under Application No. 18/947,046.
