US Patent Issued to ASICS on June 23 for "Shoe" (Japanese Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,660,884, issued on June 23, was assigned to ASICS Corp. (Kobe, Japan).

"Shoe" was invented by Chihaya Suzuki (Hyogo, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A shoe includes an upper member covering a foot, and a string-like body formed continuously with the upper member by the same thread as a thread forming the upper member. The string-like body can be a shoelace or an eyelet, or can fix the upper member to a sole member."

The patent was filed on April 2, 2024, under Application No. 18/624,561.
