ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,595,174, issued on April 7, was assigned to ARIANEGROUP SAS (Les Mureaux, France) and CENTRE NATIONAL DE LA RECHERCHE SCIENTIFIQUE (Paris Cedex, France).
"Method for producing the pentazolate anion using a hypervalent iodine oxidant" was invented by Lionel Joucla (Vert-le-Petit, France), Gwenael Gasnier (Vert-le-Petit, France), Sebastien Comte (Vert-le-Petit, France) and Raphael Silva Costa (Vert-le-Petit, France).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method for producing the pentazolate anion, includes at least the oxidation of a phenolic arylpentazole by a particular hypervalent iodine oxidant in the presence of a base."
