ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 24 -- United States Patent no. 12,742,887, issued on Sept. 22, was assigned to Apple Inc. (Cupertino, Calif.).

"Line of sight estimator" was invented by Mark G. Petovello (Santa Cruz, Calif.), Qutub Salman Syed (San Jose, Calif.), Mojtaba Bahrami (San Jose, Calif.) and Isaac T. Miller (Half Moon Bay, Calif.).
