ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,754,435, issued on Oct. 6, was assigned to Apple Inc. (Cupertino, Calif.).

"Adjustable band of wearable electronic device" was invented by Ray L. Chang (Saratoga, Calif.) and Michael J. Rockwell (Palo Alto, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A wearable electronic device including a pressure sensor and an adjustable band is disclosed. In an example, a head-mountable device (HMD) includes a display; a housing coupled to the display; a force transducer coupled to the housing; and an adjustable band coupled to the housing, the adjustable band being adjustable in response to a pressure detected by the force transducer."
