"Thermal reference correction" was invented by Nir Goldfriend (Tel Aviv, Israel), Yuval Vardi (Tel Aviv, Israel), David Pawlowski (Tel Aviv, Israel), Roey Zuitlin (Kfar Bin Nun, Israel), Gidi Lasovski (Ramat Hasharon, Israel) and Boris Morgenstein (Tel Aviv, Israel).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method for depth mapping includes operating a projector at a first temperature to project a pattern of optical radiation onto a reference plane, capturing a first image of the projected pattern on the reference plane, using the first image and an optical and thermal model...
