ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,663,881, issued on June 23, was assigned to Apple Inc. (Cupertino, Calif.).

"Interacting with an electronic device through physical movement" was invented by Jeffrey Traer Bernstein (San Francisco), Lukas Robert Tom Girling (Stoke Bishop, Great Britain), Julian Missig (Burlingame, Calif.) and Golnaz Abdollahian (San Francisco).
