ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,599,126, issued on April 14, was assigned to Apex Predator TreeStand LLC (Glidden, Iowa).

"Foldable tree stand" was invented by Anthony Quintin Hall (Scottsdale, Ariz.) and Steven P. Mahlberg (Glidden, Iowa).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A foldable tree stand to provide a small lightweight collapsible support for which to position a person into the fork of a tree for hunting and other outdoor activities. The foldable tree stand can be lodged into the fork of a tree to provide a sturdy standing platform to a user. When finished using, the tree stand can be folded in half to be easily carried and stored."
