ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,667,822, issued on June 30, was assigned to Anvil Capture Systems Inc. (East Chatham, N.Y.).
"Structured powders for carbon dioxide capture" was invented by James Warner Lawler (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Corey Adam Myers (Cambridge, Mass.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A structured powder for capturing CO2 from a gas stream includes an agglomerated powder, wherein magnesium hydroxide is 5 wt % to 90 wt % of the powder, and particles of the powder have a mean diameter of 1 micron to 40 microns. The structured powder has a mean largest dimension of 1 mm to 250 mm and an internal porosity of 10 vol % to 50 vol %."
