ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,528,090, issued on Jan. 20, was assigned to ANGETIS AIR LLC (Columbia, Md.).

"Spark tolerant electrostatic precipitator" was invented by Igor Krichtafovitch (Kiev, Ukraine), Alan Viosca (Seattle) and Larry Rothenberg (Kensington, Md.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An electrostatic precipitator particle collection unit with a particle collecting electrode and a repelling electrode fabricated with static dissipative materials. The static dissipative material may be a polymer, may be a synthetic polymer, and may be a moldable polymer. The electrode plates may be formed from thermoplastic or thermoset polymer."
