US Patent Issued to AMPPC Finland on April 14 for "High yield cooking method" (Finnish Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,601,114, issued on April 14, was assigned to AMPPC Finland Oy (Lappeenranta, Finland).

"High yield cooking method" was invented by Matti Kurki (Lappeenranta, Finland).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A cooking method and a digester system wherein partly digested cellulosic fiber source is compressed during cooking to provide high molecular weight xylan, high molecular weight lignin and pulp."

The patent was filed on June 23, 2021, under Application No. 18/004,190.
