According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An input display device includes an image display device having a function of displaying an image in the air, and a capacitive touch panel disposed on the image display device. A knob is provided as at least one transparent three-dimensional operation unit on a surface of the touch panel, and an aerial image is displayed at a position not beyond a top surface that is a touch surface of the knob."
