US Patent Issued to AGCO International on Sept. 22 for "Grain processing apparatus of a combine harvester and controllable release passage therefor" (Danish Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 24 -- United States Patent no. 12,740,514, issued on Sept. 22, was assigned to AGCO International GmbH (Neuhausen, Switzerland).

"Grain processing apparatus of a combine harvester and controllable release passage therefor" was invented by Alastair Cameron Morrison (Randers, Denmark).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A grain processing apparatus for a combine harvester has a return pan with a release passage for releasing the harvested crop material before it reaches a grain cleaning system, and a controllable closure for opening and closing the release passage. Thus, the amount of MOG to be processed by the grain cleaning system can be controlled."
