ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,545,618, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to AGC INC. (Tokyo).
"Chemically strengthened glass" was invented by Hitomi Furuta (Tokyo), Qing Li (Tokyo), Shigeki Sawamura (Tokyo) and Shusaku Akiba (Tokyo).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to a chemically strengthened glass having a sheet shape, in which a haze in terms of a thickness of 0.70 mm is 1.0% or less, and on at least one main surface of the glass, a ratio (Rku/Hv)x1000 of kurtosis Rku of surface unevenness to Vickers hardness Hv is 1 or more and 4.4 or less."
The patent was filed on Feb. 15, 2023, under Application No. 18/110,357.
