US Patent Issued to Adelphi Technology on July 28 for "Pulsed ion source" (California Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,696,375, issued on July 28, was assigned to Adelphi Technology Inc. (Redwood City, Calif.).

"Pulsed ion source" was invented by David Lowndes Williams (Los Altos, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A pulsing ion source having a vacuum enclosure in a cylindrical shape has an exit iris through one closed end providing ions in sequential pulses that are instantly quenched between pulses by imposition of electrical voltage on an element within the ion source."

The patent was filed on Dec. 31, 2024, under Application No. 19/006,646.
