ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,554,295, issued on Feb. 17, was assigned to Acer Inc. (New Taipei, Taiwan).

"Laptop computer" was invented by Yu-Shih Wang (New Taipei, Taiwan), Wen-Chieh Tai (New Taipei, Taiwan), Chih-Chun Liu (New Taipei, Taiwan), Dong-Sheng Wu (New Taipei, Taiwan), Tzu-Wei Lin (New Taipei, Taiwan) and Yi-Mu Chang (New Taipei, Taiwan).
