ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,599,665, issued on April 14, was assigned to A2 Biotherapeutics Inc. (Agoura Hills, Calif.).
"Gene fusions for control of genetically modified cells" was invented by Jee Young Mock (North Hollywood, Calif.), Carl Alexander Kamb (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) and Agnes Hamburger (Newbury Park, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The disclosure relates to fusion proteins comprising a tBID polypeptide and a steroid hormone receptor domain, and methods of using same to induce apoptosis in cells."
The patent was filed on Aug. 12, 2021, under Application No. 18/020,728.
