ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,408,653, issued on Sept. 9.
"Bird diverter applicator that attaches bird diverters to power lines" was invented by John Paul Lethin (Lihue, Hawaii).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A bird diverter applicator for drones is disclosed. The bird diverter applicator for drones reduces the risk of electrocution to ground crews and eliminates the need to de-energize the power lines for installation of the bird diverters."
The patent was filed on Jan. 13, 2023, under Application No. 18/097,187.
