ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,729,158, issued on Sept. 8.
"Crystalline cellulose reinforced cement" was invented by Sean Mcalpine (Saskatoon, Canada), Jory Nakoneshny (Saskatoon, Canada) and Blaine Kunkel (Saskatoon, Canada).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A cementitious composition comprises cement and crystalline cellulose or nanocrystalline cellulose formed from a cellulosic material by a redox reaction."
The patent was filed on May 14, 2024, under Application No. 18/664,020.
