"Inspiration exercising and promoting device" was invented by Alexandre Jung (Lajeado, Brazil).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An inspiratory incentive and exerciser device made of paper. This device is designed to be used as a respiratory incentive, applied to performing respiratory incentive exercises and inspiration exercises for users who require increased tidal volume and inspiratory muscle strengthening. This is a very common situation in daily respiratory physiotherapy practice, both in pre-operative and post-operative training."
