According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The fascia suturing system may comprise a suture delivery device and a suture retriever. The fascia suturing system may assist in closing a laparoscopic incision. The suture delivery device may be adapted to be inserted into the laparoscopic incision and reconfigured to deploy a plurality of wings and a plurality of shields.
