According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A fabric barrier for containing wildfires can be rapidly deployed in a location within a path of a moving wildfire slow or stop the spread of the fire. The fabric can be rolled up and then deployed by unrolling the fabric and installing support posts at intervals along a length of the barrier.
