"Device for stabilizing an object" was invented by Gregory J. Dunn Jr. (Needham, Mass.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A stabilization device for preventing an object from falling backwards or sideways, the device comprising: an upright portion comprising an inner surface and an outer surface; a base portion mounted to the upright portion comprising at least one leg; and at least one stabilization arm, wherein the at least one stabilization arm is mounted to the upright portion and the base portion."
