ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,752,169, issued on Oct. 6.

"Swim stage trainer" was invented by Todd Trombetta (Hallandale Beach, Fla.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A swim training device in method wherein a suit is provided with a plurality of down facing pockets. Each of the pockets is adapted to hold a removable flotation pad. The pockets are oriented on the body of the device symmetrically to improve balanced flotation. The upper pockets on the shoulders and lower pockets on the hips are on a lateral edge of the device to avoid hindrance of movement.
