According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A multi-function lid for use with a container to transform the container into a container with multiple functions. The lid may be fabricated using materials made from food-grade materials with polymeric elastomeric properties. The lid features a cutout that aligns with existing container spouts for larger pours and a pointed section that creates an opening in the container for shaker use.
