According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A trailer coupler security lock includes a housing, locking component, and lock. The lock has a body and a shackle. The locking component has a body and retainer. The open lock shackle is inserted into the front access slot until the shackle contacts the short wall and then the locking component is inserted through the bottom access slot, through the lock shackle.
