According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention discloses an electric pruning shear comprising a housing, a drive assembly mounted inside the housing, a support frame, a shearing assembly mounted on the support frame, and a control mechanism installed within the housing. The support frame is mounted at the upper end of the drive assembly, and the control mechanism is electrically connected to the drive assembly to control its activation and deactivation."
