"Modular bezel for facilitating player tracking functions at a gaming device" was invented by Kent Dwight Bowden (Norman, Okla.) and Paul Kenneth Cernuto (Las Vegas).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Systems, apparatus, and methods are provided for a player tracking interface device comprising a shelf for holding a mobile device, and using the held mobile device to provide and receive player tracking information."
The patent was filed on Aug. 7, 2023, under Application No. 18/366,663.
