US Patent Issued on May 26 for "High-performance shorts for water based sports" (California Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,635,742, issued on May 26.

"High-performance shorts for water based sports" was invented by Ofek Arbib (Encinitas, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A pair of board shorts is provided. The pair of board shorts includes an exterior shell having a multi-panel construction formed from a hydrophobic, quick-dry, stretchable fabric; an interior compression liner integrally attached to the waistband of the exterior shell, the liner composed of a moisture-wicking, four-way stretch fabric."

The patent was filed on July 3, 2025, under Application No. 19/259,226.
