"Face mask device" was invented by Veronica Deloach (Antioch, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A face mask device utilizing a sheet of fluid penetration resistant material that includes first and second edge portions that are foldable against one another. Such folding creates a compact face mask that only covers the nose of the user and is employable during medical visits and also facilitates eating in public settings."
The patent was filed on Oct. 13, 2021, under Application No. 17/500,764.
