According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A cart cover device is disclosed that comprises a body component comprised of a protective tube. The body component of the device is then placed around the handle of a shopping cart and secured to prevent contact of the user's hand with the possibly contaminated handle.
