ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,577,024, issued on March 17.

"Dual-layered food container" was invented by Zena Krispin (Toms River, N.J.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A dual-layered food container including a layer of parchment paper and a layer of aluminum foil. The parchment paper is on one surface of the wrap, while the aluminum foil is on the opposite surface. This arrangement prevents the aluminum foil from directly contacting the food, thereby avoiding potential health risks associated with aluminum. The wrap can take various forms such as a pocket, bag or sheet, and can be particularly useful for triangularly shaped food items like pizza slices."
