"Door block" was invented by Nicholas Dimercurio (Highlands Ranch, Colo.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A door block is described. Embodiments of the door block can be implemented to keep a door from closing. The door block can be secured to a door, wedged underneath a door, and placed on a hinge connected to a door to stop the door from fully closing."
The patent was filed on June 12, 2024, under Application No. 18/741,724.
