"Juniperus plant named 'KA5'" was invented by Michal Kaluzinski (Szadek, Poland).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new cultivar of Juniperus conferta plant named 'KA5' that is characterized by its dense and compact plant habit, its light yellow young shoots and mature green leaves, and its moderate growth rate."

The patent was filed on Sept. 24, 2025, under Application No. 19/338,676.
