According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A carnival pantyhose for Caribbean and Brazilian carnival costumes that includes two leg portions joined at a high-rising waistband, which defines front and rear wedge-shaped cut-outs extending toward the perineal region, and two wedge-shaped lateral portions extending above the hips to a position at or just below the inframammary region.
