According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Modesty-preserving bottoms as swimwear or active wear are provided. In particular, such bottoms comprise a modesty panel immovably disposed along an inside of a crotch portion of the bottoms to smooth fabric over a wearer's genial area in order to prevent the particular shape, size, and appearance of the wearer's genitalia from being discerned through such fabric.
