US Patent Issued on June 30 for "Location-based secure communication method based on IRS" (Turkish Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,671,998, issued on June 30.

"Location-based secure communication method based on IRS" was invented by Musab Mahmoud Abd Alkareem Alayasra (Istanbul) and Huseyin Arslan (Istanbul).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed is a method for a location-based secure communication based on IRS. The controlled multipath components of the reflected signal are exploited by IRS, and secure communication is enabled through shuffling the phases of those components so they add constructively only at the intended receiver."

The patent was filed on Dec. 8, 2022, under Application No. 18/718,734.
