US Patent Issued on June 30 for "Fire protection system" (Austrian, Ukrainian Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,668,745, issued on June 30.

"Fire protection system" was invented by Illarion Eine (Kyiv, Ukraine) and Egon Doberl (Grunbach bei Freistadt, Austria).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method of producing a fire protection system is provided that includes dosing a crushed silicon dioxide raw material and a granulated alkali metal hydroxide into a reactor; adding water in the reactor and mixing under self-heating until a hot pre-product is obtained; storing said pre-product until a homogenous, colloidal, aqueous dispersion of the alkali metal hydrosilicate is obtained; and applying the homogenous, colloidal, aqueous dispersion to a substrate....
