ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,661,677, issued on June 23.

"Bucket claw" was invented by Craig Lawergren (Erie, Pa.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Several embodiments of a bucket claw that engages an upper rim of a 5-gallon bucket are presented. The claw includes a first L-shaped member and apparatus to secure the first L-shaped member to the bucket rim such that the horizontally extending arm of the member can support a sprayer attached to a hose for easy access."

The patent was filed on Aug. 13, 2019, under Application No. 16/539,821.
