According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system for separating salt and/or minerals from ocean, sea, brackish, or brine water collected in a water enclosure. The water enclosure is heated with solar radiation to increase a rate of evaporation of the saline water and produce humidity or moisture within the water enclosure for conversion to desalinated water.
