ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,655,131, issued on June 16.

"Pyrazinecarboxamide analog compounds for use in treating cancer" was invented by Francesca Fieni (San Francisco), Son Minh Pham (San Francisco) and Sarvajit Chakravarty (Edmond, Okla.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided herein are compounds, such as compounds for use in treating cancer. Also provided are methods of treating cancer, including treatment resistant cancer or cancer associated with a hypoxic tumor."

The patent was filed on Sept. 17, 2020, under Application No. 17/761,905.
