ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,672,982, issued on July 7.

"Medical dressing" was invented by Ofer Spottheim (Raanana, Israel).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A medical dressing composed of a continuous frame enclosing a first surface area and having a bottom surface coated with an adhesive material and an upper surface, a polyurethane layer having a second surface area which covers the first surface area and is larger than the first surface area, and a layer opaque to UV rays having a third surface area, which covers the second surface area and is equal or larger than the second surface area."

The patent was filed on Aug. 16, 2021, under Application No. 18/021,597.
