According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A fishing lure includes: an elongated lure body that includes a chamber with an open end; and a ballast moveably inserted in the chamber. The ballast can be selectively manipulated to assume different positions along a length of the chamber to tailor a buoyancy of the fishing lure to accommodate different fishing conditions.
