ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 21 -- United States Patent no. PP37,529, issued on July 21.
"Penstemon digitalis plant named 'Pinot Noir'" was invented by Brent Arpad Horvath (Fontana, Wis.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The new and distinct cultivar of Penstemon plant having dark foliage with purple red coloration in combination with bi-color tubular flowers of purple pink."
The patent was filed on Dec. 22, 2025, under Application No. 18/831,979.
