According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A protective cover for a device installed on a firearm includes a cover body having a housing portion and a base portion integrally and inwardly extended from the housing portion; wherein the cover body includes an inner surface having at least one securing protrusion configured to match with an outer surface of the device for tightly securing the cover body on the device."
