ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 14 -- United States Patent no. 12,684,675, issued on July 14.

"Intelligent dark sky parking area with dynamic vehicle and lighting control" was invented by Vincent Loccisano (Wellesley, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system and method for increasing safety and efficiency in parking areas uses vehicle-to-vehicle communication, vehicle-to-cellular communication and advanced lighting control to dynamically adjust illumination levels to provide targeted lighting."

The patent was filed on Dec. 9, 2024, under Application No. 18/973,534.
